Loling at the idea that older fandoms should be exempt from newer fandom trends. Give it up, OP, every single fandom is susceptible to every single trope/AU/headcanon independently of how annoying or cringy they might be.

Also, to me this looks less like someone being ~special~ about capitalization and more like some lazy ass who just couldn't be bothered.

IMO:

1. No fandom is exempt from anything, stop gatekeeping.

2. Not a fan of the 'no punctuation' style, but that is a personal thing to me because it looks weird and naked.

3. Just... don't read it if it's not what you like? No one is forcing you to engage in fandom output that you do not like.

Right, like... it took me SO long to figure out what this secret was even ABOUT because of that completely unrelated nonbinary hate. If OP just said they had a problem with a lack of capitalization, hard agree, I'd hit the backbutton. But that has absolutely nothing to do with someone's gender. OP is just being unnecessarily aggressive to a group of people that has absolutely nothing to do with what their complaint seems to be, which makes OP the asshole.

Signed, a non-binary person who's been in fandom since the 90s, thank you, and whose gender does not magically negatively affect their ability to write.
