thanks. so that basically sounds like the dumbest way to make a movie and I have no problem giving it a pass.

Their problem was marketing. The R rating in this case probably wasn't necessary and likely hurt more than helped (Suicide Squad wasn't even R, and you'd think they were trying to get the same audience). The movie itself is imo pretty solid.
