Well, if you're invested in a property getting continued installments, you kind of have to care about box office performance. Wonder Woman, for example, was a film I would have seen no matter what, but even more than wanting it to be good, I wanted it to do well. That was almost more important.

Yeah, I don't need the validation of other people liking what I like, but I want the people who make things I like to be associated with a successful thing so they can keep getting work and hopefully produce more things I like. I want the people who hold the purse strings to feel motivated to green-light more of the things I like.
