I have been weapons-grade horney for these two. It's rough.

MCU!Bucky isn't close enough to 616!Bucky for my taste. And no one likes Namor right now. Even if he ends up in BP2 it won't be the dynamic I crave.

Yeah, like maybe the implication is that he can handle himself now, but it really sound like reaching in every possible way.

That's because it's a single page without context. In the issue it's from, it's very clear the implication is that he can handle himself, because he just did.

I mean, it's not really compliment because Namor is a weapons grade asshole and phrases everything in the most condescending light possible, but that's the dynamic.

Earlier in the issue Bucky screws up and Namor has to save him. But then everyone with super powers gets kidnapped and unpowered, underestimated Bucky has to save them. He got beat down pretty hard, but Namor is now treating him as an equal as opposed to a pest. And yeah, Namor is a huge dick so this is as nice as he gets.

The grudgeing respect between men who don't actually like each other is one of the aspects I love.
