Yes, I'm with others that I enjoy it because it's unashamedly about women - their problems, their joys, their friendships, their professions, especially considering so many historical dramas would pretend women never did much of interest or note outside of romantic relationships. Even when they have conflicts, they always respect and support each other, which is also refreshingly unusual compared to all the "mean girls" tropes. The men, while likable and well-developed, are definitely only supporting characters. On top of that, the show doesn't shy away from challenging or controversial topics, but it's also "feel-good" (despite making me cry so very often), which I think makes it kind of a Trojan horse for introducing those ideas to viewers who might otherwise avoid shows that address those topics.

I don't hate kids, but I'm pretty indifferent to ever having my own. But I love the fact that there's a show like this out there and only find it disappointing that it's so rare.
