Maybe it's because I'm dumb, but I'm not sure I understand the secret? You're saying it hurts to not know what being in love is, or something like that?

I'm not entirely sure, but I think the secret poster meant that since they've never been in love, they imagine someone being confronted by an old love is something like the secret poster remembering an old ship that they once had and the remembering hurts.
