I don't respect her as a cook.

What is she doing or not doing?
Just curious.

nayrt but IIRC from what little I've seen of her shows, they're sort of... well, reliant upon a lot of background help. Like okay, I could cook that meal in 30 minutes or less if I had assistants who pre-chopped all the vegetables for me. Not as bad as Sandra Lee but she's not a chef, per se. Her success was based on the fact that her style of cooking has wider appeal to people who can't cook.

DA

I mean, I don't agree with this..? Any and every cooking show has their ingredients prepared which they then put into their meal. It's done as ease of access. 30-min meals is including the comercial breaks. Like in any recipe there's going to be an estimated time to make, prepare, and cook. It's not going to be universal for all, not even close.
I'm not exactly a fan of Rachel Ray, but dismissing her simply because her shows aren't suited to you seems strange. I just don't see how this makes her any less of a chef, tbh.

I never liked her growing up, but she grew on me as I got older. She's has a cute personality and seems like a nice person.

I've met her. She was super nice and I don't think it was an act.

I'm curious: is the picture used in the secret an example of "a few extra pounds" or not?
