Season 2 pretty much wrecked the 'I don't get sex' thing from the books, though :(

The first episode of season 3 was enough to make me stop watching.

I've only watched the entire first season of Dexter, and I've only caught a few bits and pieces of season 2. But, since my curiosity has been piqued, what happens in the first episode of season 3?

Dexter and Rita have lots of sex. We then find out that Rita's pregnant.

~~Oh, John Ringo No~~ I can just see all the inevitable drama coming from this. HBO, I thought you could do better :(

Admittedly he becomes more interested in sex, but I think it's a stretch to make Dexter the village bicycle. I looked at one of the fan comms and found nothing but Dexter/Brian and some Dexter/Prado. To each their own, I guess, but, not liking slash in this series, I feel like I've got no place in the fandom.

Ignore the Rita pregnancy in lieu of the incredible dynamic between Michael C. Hall and Jimmy Smits. Their relationship is making season three fantastic. The rest is just periphery.
