101 - I've been there before, and it's a bit like that now except it's not so much that I haven't got a fandom, but it's that I'm not terribly active in one at the moment. The solution is to go out and think about real life and your friends and all. I'm fine with going out, but if the only thing that's filling my head is thoughts of real life then I just end up being depressed :( Hope you find a new one soon.

N!S 3 - Ich, I roll my eyes at people who feel the need to advertise all their fandoms wherever they go, because I think it's obnoxious and because people aren't billboards. I could easily let that alone slide, I can't believe you're even being so elitist about who talks to you. You know that a greater deal of people outside your group of friends would find you lacking in the social graces department, more so than those awkward kids you seem to hate, right?

To be fair, I'd venture to say that most of us who have fandom stuff like keychains, buttons, stickers, etc, aren't doing it to advertise. We're just doing it because we love the series and the merch that goes with it. I have a few Reborn keychains, a Trigun one, and some TWEWY pins, and whenever I go out with them it's just because I like them.

I didn't mean billboard as in advertise (so I suppose it wasn't a great word to use). I mean, I know I wear fandom stuff sometimes. It's just that when you get so excessive with it, there's something that rubs me wrong about it. 'S like you're just dressing to showcase what you like. Your wardrobe doesn't have to equal your fandom.

But to each their own, of course :)

DO IT. Seriously. Your life will change. Just go to hulu or something.
