See, I did have to reread the secret -- I skimmed it the first time, but I actually do think the OP is making two points that are definitely hypocritical, but are also pretty unrelated. S/he's may not actually be saying "WE'RE COOLER THAN YOU"; s/he is definitely being a dick and apparently doesn't know what the hell shyness or social anxiety is. S/he's still being a dick, but I don't know if s/he's actually being "WE'RE COOLER" so much as "YOU'RE CREEPY AND BORING" and actually believing it... and somehow, I believe the latter is even more fucked up.

Rereading, I totally agree that the OP is out of line and being severely cunty. That said, there are better ways to make the point than flipping over to "HAHAHA you have all that shit on that bag you're a loser!" because neither opinion is right or a good attitude to have. If that makes sense?

I don't think it's hypocritical that they have a ton of fandom stuff and mock shy people, but I do think there's a ton of hypocracy in the whole "we love so many things, come over and talk to us, we'll accept you because we share common love!" shpeal mixed with the "BUT IF YOU'RE QUIET AND SHY AND AWKWARD THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU, FUCK OFF" disclaimer.

The misunderstanding/my misreading was totally my bad, though.
