I really when (for example) someone writes a really long, fairly well crafted fic about Steve and Bucky, and Steve/Bucky, and 99.9% of the fic is sad, angsty, 'he's dead/he's alive but doesn't know me/he was tortured horribly for 70 years/I was tortured and am totally fucked up', and then, at the very end, there's like four paragraphs of them finally being able to be happily together.

ARGH.

Though I'm not into that specific pairing, I think that would annoy me too. It's like when people are written only to get together at the end. Do author(s) not know what to do with a happy couple?

I think some are just too into the angst/trash party/whatever, and then to actually have some calm and happy and downtime stuff is just...not on their radar.

I mean - you do you, love your angst! But omg, a Char A/Char B tag that literally only has them together for like - 500 words or something is *really* frustrating.

urgh, yeah i dislike this in general tbh. fic or pro-media, i don't mind a couple getting together at the end if they've been side-by-side the rest of the time and they've had good+bad moments, but at the very end with nothing, not even a little bit of time shown together? meh.

YUP. Don't give me a Char A/Char B slash tag and then keep them apart for 99.9999% of the fic (or whatever media). SO FRUSTRATING.

it's the wooooooooooooooooooorst, there's a writer in one of my fandoms who consistently does this with my OTP and it's so frustrating and annoying to have their fic recced to me, only to find out that A/B spend about 5% of the fic together while A is off internally wangsting or hanging around other people the whole fic instead of... trying to be with B or actually thinking about B?

it was so frustrating and i don't read a single thing from them ever again, lol. dumb reason but i really find it annoying.
