Yeah, this was pretty much exactly what I thought when I watched it (knowing nothing about the story before hand).

I was totally prepared to settle in and give the show a chance to get better at the weaker parts, while enjoying the hell (heh) out of the A & C parts...until I realized I was already like 75% of the way done and there were only a couple episodes left. :(
