Amy is always my least favorite, but I didn't like this Jo as much as I've liked other Jos. Meg was the the most believable and relatable sister to me in this version, which is weird because she usually isn't my favorite.

Lots of people seem sort of shocked that I never read the book either as a kid or as an adult.

Maybe it's down to the version

I'm pretty sure I watched the anime version on Nickelodeon before I read the book and I went into the book partial to Jo. But, with that and watching a couple of movie versions, I think my favorite became Beth. Amy, though I didn't think she was as terrible as some people seem to think, I liked the least. No version of Meg has made much of an impression on me. So, I guess it's Beth, then Jo, then Meg, then Amy for me. However, some of that might be down to the fact that I have three sisters (I'm the second oldest).

I haven't seen this adaptation yet but I don't really have a favorite in the book. I guess Jo is by default? I didn't much like Amy as a kid, though she improves with age and reminds me more of Rose from Eight Cousins, whom I do like. Beth is just sort of there... she's basically a character who's meant to be saint-like and then die, so I don't dislike her but there's not much for me to connect to, emotionally.

Blame the actress.
