I used to feel this way, but now that so many new shows fall under the jurisdiction of media mega-conglomerates, I really don't care if they're losing out on my money while I give their stuff a test-run. If I like it, I'll buy in, but no way am I spending my hard-earned money to watch stuff I might not even like.

Same. Sure I could spend the 5$ now to watch the only show I care about on Apple TV+, but I think Apple isn't struggling, lacking my contributions.
