Here ask if a show you've been meaning to watch is any good and maybe somebody will tell you!

For me, I want to know if the new DuckTales cartoon is any good. There are some adorable ships from it and the artstyle is cute.

Is She-Ra any good? I adore the fanworks.

I wanted to like She-Ra more than I did. I didn't think it was very interesting. I liked some of the character designs, but the writing didn't hold my interest for long. It's fine, as a kids show, but that's all it is.

Same. I went into it with high hopes because I loved the original series and I really enjoyed the Voltron reboot, but it was just a huge disappointment to me. I couldn't even finish the first season.

I love She-Ra and I would say it's fairly good. The writing could be better in spots, but it's no worse than the average cartoon. If you like the fanworks for the characters and think the world is interesting, check it out. If you're not into soft sci-fi with magic and princesses, it's not going to hold your interest, but if that's your thing, it's a lot of fun.

i like she-ra quite a lot, it's not amazingly deep or anything like that and the writing definitely has it's spotty bits, but it's otherwise pretty fun and i find the characters engaging to watch and see how their stories unfold.

it's more on the low-key sci-fi/mild fantasy side of things so if that isn't your jam you might not like it.

I only watched a couple episodes of the new Ducktales, but it was decent. I wouldn't mind watching more of it. (I know, not much of an endorsement, but it's definitely watchable.)

Not a show, but is Fire Emblem: Three Houses any good? I loved Awakening and what I've played of the older games. However, I hated Fates to the point that it killed my interest in the series for a while. Would love to hear opinions.

Anyone seen it? The trailer looks interesting in most parts, but I'm hesitant because it's "From the producers of Stranger Things." I didn't like Stranger Things, Eleven especially I found very annoying and smug, and the main character from this seems to be another misfit girl with scary powers so I'm not sure I want one of those from the same people who wrote one I didn't like before.

Depends on what you want from it, I guess? I mostly watched it for a coming-of-age story featuring a wlw protagonist with superpowers. However, I didn't find her character well-developed (especially considering the tragic family backstory) and remain mystified about why she got more screentime with a male neighbor than with her actual best friend and crush.

So it's the inverse of the usual straight main character who has lots of screentime and chemistry with their platonic best friend and then gets together with an opposite gender acquaintance who they don't interact much with?

The vibe I got from my friend who watched was "mediocre Stranger Things knockoff" so

I thought the new Ducktales was super adorable. They gave each of the nephews more distinct personalities and i really loved all the little hints and cameos of other older shows, like for example TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck. They also modernized the setting quite well without it being too jarring.

I really, really like DuckTales and I didn't know what to expect going in. There's a good, consistent story and I really like David Tennant as Scrooge, which I was iffy about, even as a Tennant fan.

Also, my five year old loves it...and has loved it since she was two.
