Mads was never considered for Geralt by anyone but some fans. I guess I'm in the minority now but when the show was first announced most of the fandom wanted an unknown to get cast.

Idk. I think Mads would have been awesome but I think Henry does an awesome job, too. But I also think the show wasn't very well done. The nonlinear storytelling is particularly bad because they put important character development moments after significant events or left them out entirely. For instance: a lot of the fandom seems confused about why Jaskier hates Yennifer and totally unaware that she's universally hated.
