I feel like International Women's Day promotion should have been more focused on issues women face. Instead a lot of the awareness about it has just been PC "we're so inclusive!" nonsense with not a lot of substance, even from very important groups.

I want more meaningful dialogue and less patting each other on the back about how good we are at saying the right collection of words.

I'm from one of the minorities that people are trying to be inclusive of, and I already know I'm part of "Women", thank you. If you cared about us, you would be talking about things that disproportionately affect us. You wouldn't just be saying we're all the same, because we're not and it doesn't address why we are getting murdered more than other women.

tbh that's nearly every major trend holiday, but I agree with you. I don't need the US Army tweeting out HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY considering what they do.
