I'd much rather be in a nasty fandom that has good fanfic writers than in a nice fandom with lousy writers.

Fucking THIS. I was starting to think I was the only one! *hugs you frantically*

I spent seven years in the Sherlock fandom and I had a GLORIOUS time. I read fic for my OTP for seven years and never ran out of fic that was well written enough to be enjoyable. I don't know if I'll ever have that good of a time in fandom again.

Now I'm in a fandom where there's barely any fic or fanart, and it suuuuuucks. I love my OTP, and there are some great people in the fandom who I like very much, but I'm...honestly having a pretty bad time, because I'm all hung up on a ship and I'm starving for content constantly and there just isn't any.
