Spoilers for Grey's Anatomy S16E16

I don't mind so much what Grey's Anatomy did for Alex Karev's exit, though, full disclosure, I never much cared for Jo, so I wasn't ever going to be too upset about him leaving her. I mean, yeah, the fact that it has anything at all to do with Izzie is very eye-roll inducing, but I'm kind of okay with it being about his kids. People have been saying they threw away all his character growth as if the writers don't do that every few years with his character anyway.

I'm not sure what people were expecting, but for a show that has had a lot of characters exit, Grey's Anatomy isn't really great at them. Seriously, the character deaths tend to be much better than the ones where the characters just leave and I tend to dislike character deaths.
