I just think it's brilliant how the poster is losing respect for people reading something that is 'poorly written' when her/his own writing is terrible. I honestly hope they're not an English teacher.

Also, regardless of how good or not the book is, I think it's a good thing that people are willing to read something they may not enjoy so that they can talk about something their kids or students do. It shows a willingness to want to get on with students that this person does not appear to have.

No one's going to have impeccable taste at that kind of age. People read to be entertained.

For the record, no, I have not read the book, no I don't intend on reading it, but hey? Do I care if people have read it? Not at all.
