Well that's one of the issues with slash/yaoi fandom, we all tend to get tarred with the same brush when it comes to some of the more extreme fangirl issues. Personally I can't stand seme/uke and do everything I can in my writing to go against such stereotypes, but because I'm a participating member of several yaoi fandoms, I might be written off as one of the masses. It's the way it goes.

As for slash goggles, xanykaos explains it better than me above. There were fandoms, back in the day, where the majority of fic involved basically all of the male characters being paired with another male character, regardless of canon pairings or female characters. Everything they saw, they slashed - 'gay' was their default world view, as it were. That's what slash goggles means, or at least what it used to mean.
