My most realistic one is that TH isn't liked because they get all the girls, and because (mostly) Catholic Germany doesn't like Bill's feminine style. (The gay issue.)
It's kind of sad how prejudiced this country still is...

Frankly, that's the first time I'd heard about 'Catholic Germany' being one of the reasons. O_o That's interesting! But yes, I can see how that may link to the so-called 'gay issue'.
I just think that jealousy may be one reason behind why some people in the German entertainment industry don't like TH; they're too young to be that famous, that fast. Whether they deserve it or not, is a different matter, of course.
Another pet theory of mine is due to where the boys are from: East Germany, I think. Even though there isn't an East or West Germany now, there are still people who remember that and may have issues with it. So uhm... yeah, my Berlin Wall theory.

But I think that's a good theory, because then we can develop it to the fact that there also are girls that don't like them. Why? Quite simple. Girls want to look good in the eyes of boys they like/fancy, so obviously in some point it all comes down to a fact that girls don't like TH because they want to look cool.
I don't really see East Germany thing such a big deal. It would maybe be more of an issue if the boys were from West. "Well, everything has always been better in the West so no wonder, they would've never made it if they were from here!"
And about entertainment industry, I think they realize that TH is BIG money. They're just jealous that THEY didn't find them before Jost and others. XD And deserving something is always a topic really hard to discuss. We could start with: "Do human kinds deserve to be alive as they clearly only harm the environment?" The things are like they are, even if it's not deserved.

I liked that take on girls not liking TH because it's not cool to do so. It becomes a rather vicious circle, doesn't it? I suppose when they reach that certain point where their self-image is not wholly dependent on who/what they like, they'll realise that looking cool/ being cool is not 100% of what life is about ^_^
I just hatched up that East-West Germany theory after reading up on some of Germany's history and culture after getting into TH; that's one good thing about being a fan, I guess. I suppose if the boys were from the West, then it would be a 'the grass is always greener' situation for the East? I also think if the boys were from the East, it would also hold true for the West - the West has always been better, so why should the East come up with this success story? I think this would only hold true for the older generation, however. The current one doesn't seem to bother much about the East-West issue anymore. Which is good.
And yes, oh yes. TH brings in the moolah! I sometimes feel they're being exploited by the industry, but I guess they can't run from that if they want to stay on top. Now that they are over the age of majority, they probably have more say in management and contractual issues. I hope.
One thing I like about this band - and I may be prejudiced because I find myself becoming quite attached to them as I see them grow up from Devilish into Tokio Hotel - is how genuine they seem, on or off camera, for someone so young. Because of their age, I can only assume that most of what they present to the public is not an act. But obviously, you can't believe every single word they say, because well... boys will be boys ^_^
