SA - whoops, forgot to write the second half of my post: I almost never like evil!(character) AUs, because I don't find being an arsehole very appealing.

I like reading and writing about the nerdy versions too! I find them more fun and endearing.

I absolutely agree. I like when people write the character as they actually behave. Sometime when people never go back to the nerdy personality I wonder if they actually like the character or not when they're so resistant to play in the character type, or if it's just some projection of who they want to be forced on a character that doesn't actually fit.
