Well, this afternoon my county along with the 5 other Bay Area counties went on official lockdown, the health department ordering everyone not involved in an "essential business" to stay home through at least April 7. Essential business apparently means grocery stores, gas stations, doctor's offices, hospitals and the like, everything else is supposed to be closed. Restaurants are open for takeout only. Where I work probably wouldn't be considered essential but I havent heard anything from my job and I'm supposed to be there tomorrow. Ugh, this shit is bananas.

Today was weird because we did all our meetings over the phone. My company is trying to get laptops so they can make people work from home. I am still very unsure about that. :/ We had out first Covid-19 case in my county.

Lets see, got some work done this morning. Then did some errands- allergy shot, some clothing return for my mother, dropped off a package for mom, picked up reusable grocery bags for my dad. Now I'm home and surfing flight rising because I did a bit of a lair cleanout yesterday and I want new dragons. Plus I'm really tired from the 4 hours sleep last night and the antihistimines.

Tomorrow I'm having a root canal in the morning and may or may not have a hearing before that (boss still hasn't told me whether he'll be back or not to cover it).

Wasted a lot of time waiting to be let into the Trader Joe's and then being hassled by insane old people. Is dementia a symptom of corona virus?

I went in to work. About half of the office stayed home and the four who came in, including me, happened to have desks that were spread around in opposite corners of the building across to two floors. Social distancing!

Unfortunately I have no idea if we can send people out to do work in the field the week after next since we don't know if this will be allowed by authorities, we can't get wipes and hand sanitizer (our folks will be outside away from running water most of the time), we have no guarantee that hotel rooms will be any cleaner than normal, and we have no control over what amenities will be open in the places where they go. It's stressful.

Just went to work. I'm still working as of now (there's some confusion over whether we're considered essential or not so things are kind of up in the air at the moment). I'm waiting to hear from my boss sometime tonight with more info.

Anyway, I'm home now. Going to make some food soon and probably read or watch TV while I wait to hear from her, then hopefully get to bed at a decent hour since I only got four hours of sleep last night.

Officially working from home. My co-workers made me a nervous wreck talking about where they wanted to go out to this week, so after I had a cry in my cube and stopped shaking I called my boss (who himself is in quarantine) and said I was working from home. I don't think I realized how scared I was for my mom until then. It just really hit as everyone around me wasn't giving a fuck.

Went to work, caught up on some work training, answered phones to explain we’d be closed until early April, and then ran around frantically prepping for the building to be empty almost a month since we got word as the day was nearly over that we’d all be on paid leave. Woo! Came home to find my wifi out again, boo.

Hopefully my sick hen makes it through the night, so I can take her to the vet tomorrow, and hopefully they can help her and she’ll get to live. She’s not even three. I plan to go get groceries and a new phone charger to replace my latest broken one and do laundry tomorrow, and then not interact with people in person for two weeks so I know I don’t have coronavirus, and can bike out and see my aunt and uncle, who live 14 miles away and are both in their early 70s.

I cleaned my house, went out to pick up an order of food, then binged a bunch of Doctor Who episodes.

I went out on my porch to get some fresh air. I breathed one breath. As a result, the nearest sick or elderly person in town dropped dead.

Then I went inside and made dinner myself instead of ordering Chinese food, because I am a giant racist.

All in all a pretty typical day under COVID-19, or so social media tells me.

Cringing at how utterly stupid the Canadian government is. Like seriously? Close our borders to everyone BUT the United States? Y'know, the ones not getting tested since they can't afford to miss work and have like no health care and who we share our only land border with?? Because, what? Tourism? Really?

Any of the Star Trek, Star Wars, or Middle Earth ones since those are the worlds I'd like to live in. Especially Star Trek even though it isn't my favorite fandom since it seems like pretty much the ideal world (well, at least until Picard).

Uh, for strictly video game-only games, World of Warcraft seems to be an interesting world that might be fun to live in, at least in certain parts of it. Same with any of the Elder Scrolls games. TBH I don't know that much about very many games, though.

As much as I love all the worlds... probably none of them. I play too many games with depressing ass stories that end on a near-apocalyptic note, lol.
