I think there are a lot of secrets where people would like things that aren't a Thing IRL. That's pretty much one of the core themes of fandom.

No argument there. I thought Mackie does an okay job of picking up some of Kinnaman's physicality so he's believable. But Will Yun Lee is my fave.

Same, OP. I didn't mind Kinnaman. Mackie was okay... not great, IMO. I was glad Will Yun Lee had a larger role this season.
