101 - YEAAAAAAH!

113 - I think this troll needs to be reminded that you can be sexist towards men too, fancy that. And we all know how much more ~*deep we girls are when how many secrets from us are of the "I'D HIT IT!" variety.

125 - To tell you the truth, that show does have some credibility. They've admitted that yes, what you wear shouldn't matter and people shouldn't judge you on your clothes, but the truth is that it does matter and people will treat you differently depending on how you dress. They've done studies on it, people who present themselves well (or what society views as "well" anyways) are going to get preferential treatment in and out of the workplace.
But anyways, at the end, it's the person's own decision to chose if they want to get made over or not. You can refuse to go on it. It's still your choice if you'd rather express yourself in your own off-beat way, but I suppose that as you get older and you find yourself wanting a higher salary, that gets less important. They still try and put in a bit of your own personality into what you buy, despite the fact that you might have to buy it in a department store. Of course, I haven't watched the show in god knows how long.

133 - I can't believe people actually like this movie. I went to see it, opening day with my friends, and the entire theater was even making jokes about it. I thought it was terrible.

THANKYOU! I was so confused as to why people liked it !

They still go a bit overboard sometimes and they have a tendency, I think, to homogenize and onlny play lip service to the person's sense of style. They consistently try to make women who dress masculine look more feminine, and it's definitely worth pointing out that 99% of the people on the show are women, so it helps to perpetuate a double-standard.

THIS.

Plus if they have someone with a female body but a male gender identity (or, frankly, vice versa), they're probably going to make them over to "cure" their transsexualism. I've had moments like that, but with doctors. Fun.

yes, this.

shows like that are a big part of why the world cares do damn much.

they're also why i can't dress in a way that doesn't make me feel suicidal without someone giving me a bunch of crap about it. they're why i can't feel safe leaving my house anymore, because i can't go anywhere without being harassed.

if, instead of turning people into cookie-cutter shapes, they showed people how to make the style they already have look better, then it wouldn't be so bad. but telling a woman that she can't wear pants and still look good? i don't think so.

Um...when I'm older, I hopefully would have gone on testosterone and had surgery. I dress pretty well for a guy anyways; it's just there's a part of me that worries my relatives are going to call in that show so they can have their so-called "daughter" back.
