I think I found it awkward because she was dancing around in her underwear with her hair in pigtails. To me, House always liked Cuddy because she was different from any other woman, he respected her in a way - and I just felt that the scene demeaned her.

Besides, everyone knows that House/Wilson is the only real ship that will last.

The scene did just demeaned her, and I think that to look at it as "Oh lol that's just House being House" is a big mistake - that was a prime example of the writers being the writers and doing to Cuddy the same damn thing they'd be doing all season. House might be an asshole, that doesn't mean that scene was congruent with his character or even had any kind of purpose.

Ah, maybe. I do understand why that would make it awkward to watch, but, as Wilson said, House demeans everyone. Just because he respects Cuddy doesn't make her safe. He respects a lot of people and still mocks them (or, apparently, wants to see them naked. XD)

Besides, everyone knows that House/Wilson is the only real ship that will last.
