I am officially laid off from March 30th to April 10th. My company will then re-eavaluate to see if I will be working part time, still be off, or if we can go back to full time. Went on a long walk to get some stress out. Still crocheting away.

Eh, it's going. I showered today and washed/conditioned my hair (hadn't done either in days so it was time) and went to Walgreen's to pick up my high blood pressure meds, noticed that the Turkish bakery/coffee shop next door was open so went in and got an iced coffee that was absolute perfection. Thinking about doing my nails later, probably going to read (currently reading the Star Wars trilogy novel). Just trying to get my spirits up and not worry too much, lol.

Mouth hurts. Feeling tired from lack of sleep. Sent my boss my hours, hit the pharmacy drive-through for some ibuprofen, and sorted through 5 boxes of books (we're downsizing and choosing what to keep and what to sell to Half-priced Books). Now my mom and I are watching vet shows on Animal Planet. My cat is watching the squirrel in the backyard from the porch. She looks like a queen watching her subject dance for her favor.

Trying to decide what to eat for dinner. Can't fully open my mouth because my jaw is too sore, so it has to be something easy to eat.

My life is oddly normal right now, other than the fact that I don't go anywhere other than work and the most necessary of errands and I wash my hands obsessively, even when I'm at home and only touching things no one else has touched in weeks.

I'm still going to work, since we only have 8 people in a two-story building and don't interact with the public (except the UPS guy), and now with anywhere from 3 to six of my co-workers working at home on any given day, the rest of us are basically practicing social distancing without effort since we're so spread out. I feel weird going to stores at all, even though I'm not stockpiling and not bothering trying to get stuff that I know will be sold out. I feel like I'm adding to the crazy even though I'm probably not.

I'm currently stuck with a couple of library cookbooks I checked out for funzies when I was there to grab a DVD that are now on indefinite loan since the library closed. Maybe if the ingredients aren't sold out, I should make pie?

Let's see... didn't get shit done today working remotely, even though they cut out one meeting. I can't decide whether I'm a waste of space or dead weight at the company and I'm afraid to ask or say anything. But I don't think being quiet is an option either.

Also, I can't sit for very long since my back is so fucked up.

Oh, while moving my tri-fold divider, I fucking stabbed the top of my foot or at least skinned it to the point of drawing blood. With whatever was on the nasty ass bottom of one of the legs. Because that's just what I need during a pandemic, another potential infection I won't be able to get treated for because hospitals are currently overloaded. fml.

Anon from yesterday who was paranoid about getting CV at work, and yeah, our building finally decided to close today because I couldn't stop coughing. I felt better once I got home, so I think it was allergies, but that was enough to scare everyone into action, so... yay? (I'm also talking to our HR to make sure staff who had to come in like receptionists and the janitors still get paid while we're offsite, so that'll be fun.)

I cut my own hair yesterday. I only did it because I'm in isolation and I figured I'd get it fixed at some point, but there's nothing to fix. It looks like every other haircut I've ever had.

I'm unlikely to ever pay someone else to cut my hair again.

I hurt the shit out of my arms, especially the left one, doing calisthenics yesterday (I normally walk, swim or use an exercise bike at my apt bldg's mini gym) because I don't want to gain weight during this damn quarantine. I took some ibuprophen (sp?) but it isn't helping much. Also I had nightmares about corona and I'm very bored and cabin feverish. I have a nasty feeling I'm going to lose my shit well before 4/7 or whenever it is this is over with.

I cleared weeds out of half the park strip and got potting soil, bagged compost, and mealworms and birdseed suet blocks (for my hens, who are keeping me in eggs) delivered.

Gonna hand wash some clothes so I don’t have to go to the laundromat, and start cleaning the house. Using roommate’s wifi because mine keeps going out and I’m not gonna have someone by to fix it right now. May order some plants and native seeds; it’s kind of late in the year to start native stuff, but it’s been unusually cold and damp for here, which they need to get started growing, and I want the people I’ll order from to stay in business.

Day three of WFH. Things are settling down a bit as loans are finalized and they accept the cruel reality of our cashflow, but my boss thinks it may be a "calm before the storm" situation. Somehow one of my neighbors knows where I work and ambushed me to grill me about cancelled surgery protocol. XD

I've got Animal Crossing downloaded and ready to go. I will name my island "Poveglia" because I am a nerd.

Not too bad. I passed all my classes and found out my work's closed until the end of April, so now I have plenty of time to work on my fics, but my inspiration's kinda dried up.

Today's my second day at home/off work, and it's going okay so far. I've spent way too much money on groceries but at least I won't need any for quite awhile. I could use some more toilet paper (and some people are idiots and bought like 14 giant packs so now all the stores are out of it), but I'm hoping that by the time I need it they'll have some more.

I've been mostly watching shows (once I watch some of the random stuff on my DVR I think I'm going to start trying to catch up on Hawaii 5-0 before the first part of the series finale next week), reading, reading Goodreads reviews on books trying to decide what to read next (really glad for Overdrive right now!), and looking at/reading various sites (Reddit, some blogs).

Possibily might get married this weekend. Probably not, though, since we uh. Should all be staying inside.

Grandmother's funeral was this weekend but that was called off a while ago. But Sunday would have been her birthday so I'm gonna do my own private funeral/birthday thing I guess.

My workplace has their head in the sand about the virus but I have Friday and Monday off and maybe by then they'll be forced to shut down.

My landlords haven't said anything about suspending rent, nor have any the other fine establishments I owe money to.

Mostly feeling dumb that I ordered a hardcopy of Animal Crossing instead of digital since apparently you guys get to have it tonight, depending on time zone, and idk when the fuck my mail is getting here. Logged into Amazon and saw it wasn't due to arrive until Tuesday so I canceled that and got a digital code. :D

Oh but BJ's had a free instacart delivery promo so I ordered some toilet paper.

IDK. There's a kitty sitting in the armchair across the room from me and she's pretty cute.

We got our first confirmed case of the virus in my county, so I was sent home, the department is on lockdown, and I have no clue what's going to happen next, or how long I'll be home.

*hopefully* i'll keep being paid, for the foreseeable future.

Escaped back to my country where I have affordable health care if needed, now in quarantine for 2 weeks and hoping I didn't catch anything on my flight/at the airport and don't give anything to my family.

I don't mind being confined to my room, but having to eat meals at the same table I put my computer is annoying. Everything feels constantly oily even when I wipe things down multiple times.
