Can relate. We're binging Star Trek TNG at the moment and it seems a timely decision. Even when the episode are bleak, the fact that everything gets resolved and you're in some positive view of the future still helps.

I'm also reading The Left Hand of Darkness. It's a very slow start and takes ages to properly get going but I'm at the part where the two main characters are on the ice and it's SUPER hopeful from that point on.

I feel embarrassed that as a sci-fi fan this is the first time I've tried to read some Ursula K Le Guin.

And just the whole outlook. The idea that humanity's future is positive and that no matter how bad things get now we'll get past it and do better and become better. That's the kind of hope we can use right now.
