(Anonymous) 2020-03-21 09:15 pm (UTC)(link)It costs about $2,000 to get them removed from inside a wall, which is why I’ve given up on getting the hive in my house taken away. My mom used to pay someone to come remove the hive every year or so, but a different swarm would always move in. Since she passed away and I inherited her house, I haven’t had the money to get them removed. So I have a room where I keep my bike and some miscellaneous stuff but don’t otherwise use because the walls buzz.
... I should’ve lied to that guy and said I was going inside and he would risk being stung to death if he stuck around.

Get it done again when you can and get a couple of cans of expanding foam from the hardware store to fill all the gaps so they can't get back in. Cheap and it works. I had rats too and reinforced some places with steel wool so they didn't chew through that and leave more holes for the bees.
