if you like Rosemary & Thyme, you might like Father Brown, Shetland and Midsomer Murders. I’m not usually one for murder mysteries or crime shows either and I tend to shy away from anything too gorey or gruesome. for some reason, I feel like British crime does it better than anywhere else.

Shetland is quite different in tone and atmosphere from Father Brown and Midsomer Murders, though. It might start off with a sort of quaint small island spin, but it gets dark.

it’s been a while since I watched Shetland so I might’ve misremembered most of it (tbh I watched it for the scenery and atmosphere). thanks for correcting me!
