My state’s on lockdown, and pretty much all feral swarms in southern California are Africanized, so beekeepers usually charge money to come get them and then kill them.

I have to say I’ve only been stung maybe ten times in fifteen years, including stepping on them barefoot, and the only time I’ve been scared, I was making baklava from scratch. Turns out the whole hive will come into the kitchen to investigate the smell of boiling honey. So I don’t think they’re all that dangerous. Maybe after the lockdown ends, I’ll finally get someone out to remove the bees living in the wall, assuming the swarm wasn’t them packing up and leaving yesterday.
