Annoyed. I can't afford decent dental insurance so I was going to the college...and now they had to cancel all appointments until at least May so far.

I'm so very sorry. My dentist just did too and they still haven't put the cap on my root canal. No insurance either. I really hope you can figure things out and find somewhere that can take care of you or are able to safely wait if you need to without pain.

It's really annoying me that so many non-corona-related medical services closed up in the middle of this. People still need care. I understand "Hey, wait on your cleaning.", but if it's something that could get worse like a root canal, make an exception. "People in pain show up, no one else"

Supposedly the actual root canal was emergency, but putting a crown on it wasn't. It only has a temporary thing on it. I'm terrified of breaking it and messing up the root canal.

I had an extraction booked for yesterday and had to cancel because of none non-virus related illness. It was considered an emergency pre-virus, but now they won't book in new patients.

The worst thing is that I'm absolutely terrified of getting it done so it took me months to get up the nerve, and now I know I'm going to lose it again by the time the dentists reopen :(

I can relate anon. I have to call my dentist to see if my appointment in early April is still on. Was looking forward to it because my teeth have been hurting and was looking forward to getting the bad ones extracted. I hope you're ok. Tooth pain is awful.

I hope your appointment stays on! I was told that already made appointments were staying but no rescheduling was allowed (which... okay...) I had assumed they'd still perform emergency procedures, which less than a week ago my extraction was considered as, but nope. It sucks because there's a company in Auckland that's doing them for free because teeth that need extracting can damage your immune system, but that hasn't spread to the rest of the country :(

I feel you, anon! Tooth pain is the legit worst! I always have to max out on painkillers to get rid of it. Also, let's be honest, I miss ice cream like it's a lover that's been lost at sea.
