Transcript, please? I can barely read the top, and the bottom not at all. And I love both these shows, so - i really want to.

The Closer / Major Crimes is still the best crime procedural and in these trying times I should treat myself to a rewatch the way Brenda Leigh treats herself to sweets.

Secret bc as in all crime procedurals the 'good guys' often treat people horribly for the sake of getting their man and I should be better than that. Also who even still likes crime procedurals in this 2020

(my reading of the secret, I'm not OP)

Ta, anyway! You're probably right. :D

DA - that's what I got too. Bottom was a bit of a tough read with the color and font style.

Yes, the 'good guys' do fuck up in most crime procedurals. I think one of the really good things about TC/MC is that we see *consequences*. Consequences that are long-lasting and life-impacting. And we also see remorse, which pretty much never happens on, say, SVU.

I adore both of these shows and have watched and rewatched often. Thanks for the mention - I think it's time to watch again!

I might give this a watch then! I have personally always liked Cold Case, but it's hard to find due to music copyright :(

I liked Major Crimes in that they did bring it up from time to time (one of the cops with anger issues) and it was a bit more cynical about... everything. While also kinda more idealistic.

My mother loved this show. I couldn't get past Brenda. Not sure if her general character or her voice was more irritating. But her as the main character made The Closer unwatchable to me.

Major Crimes is one of my favorite shows ever but I can't rewatch after that ending stretch. *sobs*
