I haven't watched enough of them to be certain but this seems like it's maybe a common thing in this genre? Like... it's "cute" if someone pouts and acts like a little child sometimes? And I do mean literal sticking out the lower lip pouting, childish voice, sometimes tugging someone's sleeve.

I don't like it. It's really weird.

Yeah, I don't know if it's because it's childish or coy or whatever, but I've generally always seen it played off as being cute. Like your description alone paints the perfect picture of every sitcom where a character does exactly that and the 'live studio audience' gives an all resounding 'Awww~'. As if the act is somehow impossible to resist because of it. I just do not get it.

Oh wow, THANK YOU for this, seriously. I thought there must be some specific term for it but wasn't able to figure it out on my own. It's so weird to me to see more or less grown people acting like this.
