I don't really feel like anyone needs to feel guilty for not commenting. I mean, it's a kindness not an obligation, you know? That said, I do still feel guilty myself, as someone who hardly ever comments. So what do I know?

That said, I feel like you really, really don't need to feel guilty for simply not being there for the fics at all. If there's something to feel guilty over, it's getting a whole bunch of enjoyment out of a fic and giving nothing back. But it would be unfair of the fic writer to expect you to read their fics even when you don't want to, and then give them feedback for the fics you didn't even want to read.
