When the coronavirus started making people stay home I had a little flash of excitement that it might mean some long abandoned fics might get revived, and more content would get posted.
I'm more disappointed that it didn't happen than I am my charming personality for thinking it.

To be honest, I wish my lame ass would finish my fics during this time. I can't even really use the excuse of working from home because I've technically gained an hour in the day from not commuting. But I open files and then... nothing happens. It's a damn chore. And I hate that I feel that way... I don't want to botch the story, because people reading it deserve better. And even if nobody was reading, few things irritate me more than bad writing.

Anyway, this isn't to make excuses. I totally get why you feel the way you do. I had similar thoughts about ASoIaF briefly. Very briefly.

I only post fics when I finish them, so at least I haven't led anyone down in that regard, but I really wanted to use this time to finish my WIPs and I haven't been able to do that. I've done other creative stuff, so I don't understand why I'm having such a hard time with my writing.
