Weirdly enough, it's not Ignis on his own for me but in a ship with Gladio where fans of it made me hate the ship.
And the whole "Prompto the perfect flawless sunshine boi" thing got old quickly as well especially since Prompto was my least favourite character of the main four to begin with.

And don't get me started on the peop,e who insist Lunafreya is a super important amazing character perfect queen slaaaayy instead of a cardboard cut-out plot device devoid of any actual character traits. That actually pushed me from indifference to hating her as well.

Come to think of it, this all happened a lot in the FFXV fandom...

Funnily enough, Gladnis is one of the only contexts that I can still stand him in, but of course no one ships it the same way that I do so that's frustrating too. (Ignis as dom/bottom, Gladio as sub/top. Literally no one does this lol.)

I can't say much about Prompto, bc he's definitely my favorite, but I agree that the fandom also gets him wrong and erases a lot of his more interesting personality traits. I also can't stand the exact opposite, which I'm seeing more, where he's some Ultra Hard Badass who Doesn't Look at Explosions, which... also isn't true. Ugh.

LUNAFREYA LOL. I keep saying she could have been replaced literally by the fucking dog and not a lot would have changed. What a terrible waste of a character. Like it was bad enough but then the extra scenes they added in later just doubled down on the "crying, wedding-obsessed ninny" bullshit and uhhhhhh ok. I do not understand how she has fans at all, much less hardcore ones. She's nothing!
