I'm the opposite, I've gotten tired of a lot of adult-oriented books because they're TOO dark. I don't mind darker or deeper things, I'm just tired of the whole "everything must be grimdark" attitude that seems to be so prevalent these days. Sometimes I just want a fun adventure starring characters who don't have a massive load of baggage.
