I'm always more surprised that people not only tell the author they got off to their fic but that they do it in a public comment. Like, sure, rub one out to your heart's delight. Nothing wrong with that at all. But does everyone need to know about it?

Like I guess it could be considered a complement? A weird one, but maybe if someone has high standards for their smut and if someone writes something that reaches that standard they feel the need to say so? I really couldn't guess.
