I'm the other way. I would never personally tell an author I'd gotten off to their smut, because it feels like a huge overshare. But if someone told me they'd gotten off to my smut, I'd be like, "Oh my god, that is so flattering and humbling! I am in awe that something I wrote could have that effect on someone! Wow!"

I feel like that when someone tells me what I wrote made them cry or laugh or have a really good memory or something.
