This. More often than not I find that people use the word bland to describe whatever they dislike, and then expect everyone else to come to the same conclusion as if it's not their subjective opinion.

They use it so they can imply that people who like what they dislike are boring and unimaginative and then act offended when someone calls them on it. Hipster wannabes.
