115. & 160. I hear you both loud and clear. I can't watch Moral Orel anymore without doing something else at the same time. It's just too depressing to focus on entirely.

140. Dang, you buy DVD sets of shows you've never seen? Maybe you should revise that policy. Waste of money to buy things you're not a fan of and that your interest in is so weak that you'll let others convince you to not even give them a chance, don't you think?

144. By that logic, no one should enjoy ( ) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/(_)) because no one understands Hopelandic. There's more to music than just the lyrics, and even further, there's more to lyrics than just the bare meanings. There's the flow of the syllables, the emotions in the singing, the layering of vocals (or lack thereof) to harmonize or strengthen. Music is not a news report. It's art, and the comprehension of it runs deeper than vocabulary recognition.

156. I don't find him sexy (at all, at all, at all, yikes), but that scene is AMAZING. Great song, great animation. It's very powerful.

It was part of an Advent Children bundle deal on Amazon, so it was cheap, and I try to buy rather than download because piracy is killing anime. Sorry if that's stupid.

I think it's actually the fact that they sell anime DVDs with three episodes on them for 15-20 bucks a pop that's killing anime, actually. And believe me, if I download a series and end up liking it, I'll be buying the DVDs once the full set is available. As long as you hold yourself to some standards, just deciding to check something out before you decide whether or not it's worth buying isn't gonna hurt anything. Would it be so much worse to download some to see if you like it, rather than watch it on Youtube, or go over to your friend's house to watch their copy?

Christ, I did it one time! I didn't say in the secret that I frequently buy random series I don't even know if I'll like. How are people reaching this conclusion?

I'm... not trying to say you do it frequently? Or even did it more than once. You said "I try to buy rather than download because piracy is killing anime," and I was just trying to address that. My point is that it isn't downloading all by itself that's harmful, it's how you go about it -- and there isn't much different from downloading a series to see if you like it/to enjoy it before you raise the money or it comes out so you can buy it, and borrowing your friend's copy to check it out. That's all.

I oversimplified. Thanks for your opinion, I guess.

It's not a problem? I just don't get getting worked up over it. A lot of people actually do whole-heartedly hold the opinion that you kind of simplified into; I was really just making a throwaway comment based on what I saw being said. No big~
