126. I have ovaries, and I LOVE gears of war. The dialogue and story are not the strongest I've seen, but the game play is top notch. I also love that it's not 90000 hours long, with the same freaking map on repeat like Halo I and II were. I'm not sure if I ship Dom/Marcus or anything (actually Coletrain is my favorite) but I wish there was a fandom for it too.

Sorry! I didn't mean to make it sound like I thought other girls don't play the game (I know they do), I just wish it was easier for me to FIND them. And of course, compared to other popular series like Final Fantasy us girls are a small part of the whole. I admit that the story is not the deepest, but what is there I DO really like because it fits in with the universe in a seamless way. The dialogue is fun and might not exactly be Shakespeare, but it's realistic all things considered. Like you said, the game play is what makes Gears what it is and is the reason I keep coming back and back; it's incredibly addicting, not to mention satisfying, and like I said, while the story might not be the most complicated, it works for the game and I've become quite attached to the characters, too. (And I love the Halo series also, but I've got to agree about the maps.) Cole Train is awesome. And it's okay that you don't ship anything; to each their own! (I'm just glad to find other players!)

I wish we could get a fandom started. I'm just afraid there are too few of us to really make a difference. D:
