Why are we calling "anti-antis" "pro-shippers" as if plenty of antis weren't heavily into shipping too? It's not like antis are all: "gen or bust!" In fact, I'm sure that at least a few antis are only in it because they think it gives them the moral superiority in whichever shipping war they are "fighting" at that time.

This. The worst antis I've come across were ardent shippers of the "right" ships.

Anti is short for "anti-ship", a term they coined themselves. Anti-ship doesn't mean they're against shipping, it means they're against certain TYPES of ships. Pro-ship just means the opposite, aka, people can ship whatever they want so long as it's tagged.

People deep in the Discourse have taken to referring to antis as the Fandom Police.
