Same, OP. I went for years of writing but not posting and got pretty prolific, and in the last few years I've started posting stuff again. Even though it's in a relatively small and massively supportive fandom, I'm starting to feel that bite of "oh no, this is all shit and people hate me, they're only saying nice things to make me feel better".

On the other hand, when I was writing without a thought of posting anything anywhere even though it felt more fun and carefree, I never fucking finished anything and would just endlessly tinker, whereas now I know I have an audience I feel like I'm getting better at editing and actually writing something cohesive, rather than just a splurge of stuff I like.
