Pratchett is great. I have to admit, Clancy isn't my cup of tea. Just not particularly fond of that genre. My mother loves him, though.

I used to think of him as "Boring old man stuff"... Then I guess I started to become a boring old man...

Nothing wrong with that. I like some stuff some would consider old fashioned. I just tend to mainly read exclusively scifi and fantasy these days. I want to escape to another world when I read. I used to read a wider variety of stuff, including a lot of non-fiction. these days, though, I read a lot for my work, and the real world and the work I do are stressful, so when I'm reading for fun I want escape.
