For months I was in a group with proshippers are while on twitter they are nice, I was able to witness them sending anons to people who were deemed to be antis and problematic, then when they decided to leave the "anti" behind, they acted like a cult and went "Oh we should reach out to them". I'm not sure about OPs experiences, but while they are not two sides of a coin, I get where OP's frustration comes from. It might be different and better in other groups, but the one where I was a member was a 24/7 talkshow about antis.

I left the group because I got tired of joining for fandom stuff and all they did was laughing at minors and sending them anons.
