I don't confuse shipping for activism, if that's what you mean. I just worried that I had some internalized hang ups about gay people which meant I never really saw them as capable of love/romance in the same way as I did heterosexual pairings.

No I'm sure you don't do the activism bullshit! My point is you shouldn't worry about the types of fiction you like because it's supposed to be separate from your moral sense in the first place.
