... yeah, there's a lot of truth to this, because I know a number of people who do exactly that. They claim to love female characters and want more media with female characters! ... but then they bash female characters non-stop and complain about how female characters are so badly written, and meanwhile they're shipping the side dudes who barely have any characterization to their name.

At that point, I'm sorry, it's not that the female characters are badly written, it's that you're only interested in cock but can't admit it.
